The project brief provided by the clients was to create a single room extension on the rear of the property facing Pembroke's historic Mill Pond. The proposed room was to be of set dimensions and to act as a day room for enjoying the garden views of the pond; with natural light and warmth being of upmost importance. The services provided were a partial measured survey of the externals, ground floor and first floor; preparation of existing and proposed planning drawings inclusive of site plans, ground and first floor plans, sections, and elevations; with a planning application being completed and submitted with the relevant information to Pembrokeshire County Council planning department.
Following a successful planning application detailed construction drawings with construction specification inclusive of energy calculations were produced and submitted to Pembrokeshire County Council building control department with the completed application form. The application was successful.
